UPIC insurance claimed but no one told USPS
Again Amazon denies a cut and dry claim. I expect to get ripped off, just not by Amazon.
Paid for UPic insurance on LP. Damaged. returned/refunded. File claim with USPS, except USPS says it there was no insurance purchased for that tracking number.
Where is the disconnect? Is Amazon collecting fees for insurance and not passing them on to the carriers? Why was claim denied @Michelle_Amazon

Hi @Seller_EGAYxdv2MmpO0
I understand your frustration. According to the help documentation (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G200204080), when you purchase U-PIC insurance through Amazon, you need to file the claim directly with U-PIC, not with USPS. This explains why USPS is saying there's no insurance on the tracking number - because the insurance is through U-PIC, not USPS.
To file your claim, check the "USPS package insurance via U-PIC" section of the help page. There you'll find a note with links to U-PIC's Coverage Rules and Claim Instructions.
You'll need the Shipping ID (which should be under the barcode on the original shipping label) to file the claim.
For future reference, it's recommended to save the Shipping ID in the "Seller memo" section of the Order Detail page to make it easier to find when filing claims.
Hope this helps get your claim sorted out properly!
Kind regards, Michael

UPIC if the biggest waste of money and it us such a bad company I cannot believe Amazon is associated with them,.
If you ever need to file a claim for a missing package you need the customer to help you file by writing a statement for UPIC verifying they did not receive the package even though the tracking shows it did not arrive. In my experience, an Amazon customer responds to messages about 5% of the time and in these situations the customer has probably already received their refund from an A-Z claim and would be even less likely to respond.
