$2,500 for FBM return shipping
Hi everyone, I'm a new Amazon seller.
In January I had 1 FBM return and Amazon automatically provided the customer with a return label. Then in Feb I was shocked, UPS deducted $2500 return shipping fee from my account through Amazon, CASE has not been able to help me to solve the problem, UPS refused to re-measure the size and weight. the data provided by UPS shows the size and weight is completely different from my product, I suspect that the customer has returned the wrong product but can't be contacted anymore. Does anyone know how to complain about FBM return shipping charges? Thank you!

Hello @Seller_wGp1pmiqHjda2. Thank you for checking in about that return shipment and carrier adjustment.
Carrier shipping correction charges
Shipping-correction charges may be applied if the package that the item is returned in is larger or smaller than reported on the shipment. Customers may package their returned product differently than how the products were received.
If you wish to dispute the adjustment received for the return shipment, please submit that dispute to seller support with specific details about the size of the return shipment packaging, with photos if possible.
If you share the Case ID, I can monitor the dispute.

Even if it was that large and weighed that much you cannot possibly tell me that UPS would charge 2500 to deliver that. What a giant corporate scam.

Was this returned to China?

There is no way whatever the return costed $2500. I sent 3 whole skids, 3000 pounds to California and it costed me $1500 from the east coast. They have some scam going here.

Did you mention what it was & its likely weight

Yes, exactly they're doing scam. They charged $3200 from my account for 2 returns. It's really unacceptable

Happened to me on an eBay item ($1600) I had eBay go to bat for me. UPS said my item weighed 450LBS was 72"X24"X56 like the size of a REFRIDGE. It was a golf club. I got my money back but took 2 weeks for UPS TO PROCESS IT.

jesus. now i realize i should more closely track my returns... i dont think ive been tracking any of them for the past 10 years. i just look at the number as a whole at the end of the year and put it that into my accounting software.

Will, look at it this way. You are letting Amazon run your business for you, and Amazon contracts with a 3rd party shipper on your behalf. Neither parties have any real interest in your business and are designed to make a profit off of YOU.
Basically, your hands are tied because you did not contract the 3rd party shipper, Amazon did it for you, and usually Amazon does not make mistakes. Either let them run your business for you or leave FBA and start running your business yourself using FBM.
