The vast majority of sellers do NOT want buyers to be able to keep the product, but I do get it that some do.

THERE are already some people who are taking bad advantage of sellers with this policy for simple products in case of FBM , if amazon decides it for FBA as well then all of the cutomers and amazon culture slowly slowly in future will become like them and the enviorment of amazon will be changed . It will be just like order a product then make a returnless refund and then get full refund as well and span the sellers

Amazon, you already refund the customers whether they return the item or not so this is just making it "official".
Sellers do not benefit from Amazon immediately refunding the buyers without making sure they return the item (which most times they don't, or they return a different item, etc.) The return policy even states there's a 30 day time frame to return an unwanted item in order to get a refund, but Amazon doesn't follow their own policies, so again the sellers are the only ones negatively affected by these ridiculous "programs", new fees, etc.
They buyers know how to scam free items and get their money back, this "program" only benefits the Amazon employees so they don't have to deal with it.
This only hurts the sellers; they are out of the product and money.

How do we calculate the savings exactly? Many or most returned products are perfectly sellable. We will be forsaking the manufacturing cost, shipping and sale value of these.
Any benefit to the seller is not clear. I see tons of benefit to Amazon and the customer

This is your last stance against return fraud. Once the flood gate is opened, there is no going back. Amazon is not the the pioneer on this idea. Hopefully, this program will get shot down by all sellers. Case study google "pdd returnless refunds". Seller get screwed royally.
