Invoice for orders from Republic of Ireland

We are UK based company and selling in UK marketplace only. Amazon was creating and uploading the invoices by “automated receipt generation”, but suddenly one day this was stopped by Amazon and we had to manually create and upload the invoice for all the business orders. During this time, Amazon was still making invoice for orders from Ireland by Amazon Services Europe S.a.r.L.

Now we are VAT registered and have just activated the Amazon's VAT calculation service, but I am informed that we need to create and upload the invoice by ourselves for orders from Republic of Ireland and other EU countries. Any ideas how to avoid this ?

Hello @Seller_O0A4z5yvxweOs,

Here is the information from theUpload your invoices help pagethat I would like to share:

Taxable persons doing business in the EU are subject to a single set of EU-wide invoicing rules (Articles 217-240 of the VAT Directive) whilst taxable persons doing business in the UK are subject to separate requirements (Regulations 13-20 of the VAT Regulations 1995). Under these rules, every taxable person should issue an invoice (either by themselves or through a third party) in most business-to-business (B2B) supplies and certain business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions. In addition, there may be specific national rules on transactions requiring an invoice. For the exact requirements applicable to you, contact your tax advisor.

Additionally, here you will find Rules on VAT invoicing in the EU.

I hope it helps.

Regards,

Sakura
