Handmade Application
I was super impressed with the extent that Amazon go to making sure who you are, proving all your banking and ID and thought it would be simple to set up a Handmade account.
So far they deny i have even set up a seller account, they cant find my application or understand why i am replying to emails which they have sent me!, but i got an email saying they had taken £30 from my account? (i didnt think they did this unless you were actually selling)
Did anyone else have all these issues and then get approved and have any success with the handmade section? Would love to hear from anyone because im on the fence as to if im impressed with the extent that Amazon go to getting genuine handmade items to complete head bashing against wall in frustration just getting started with the application which will probably get rejected because i do make everything but cant make 1,000's a week.

No, they do take it as when you click on the 'Sign Up' button on the registration page, it is for what they call the professional selling plan - many people do not read the small print and realise you don't have to sign up for that plan, and in their haste just click on the first thing they see !!
So you do not pay any more fees you need to downgrade the plan to individual. Go to Settings (cog wheel top right) - Account Info - Your Services - Manage - and downgrade. It will say pending until your next payment would have been due, but you will not be charged again.
You can claim a refund by opening a case with seller support - Help - for unused fees as long as you haven't sold anything.
Cannot help with handmade as not my category.
