Help with GTIN Exemption !
Hi everyone,
I recently created and enrolled my brand in the brand registry program - after this I have began to list the brands first product and upon the product ID section while creating the listing I am selecting the "I don't have a Product ID" to which I am promted that I have to apply for a GTIN Exemption, when I click to apply I am taken to another page and shown in a red text that my account does not qualify - however as per Amazon's policy for GTIN Exemption it does meet all requirements - the product is a private label item with no GS1 Barcode and has the logo and brand name which match the brand in my Brand Portfolio ? I have been contacting seller support for literally days at this point through multiple cases that I keep getting generic copy pasted replies asking for photos showing all of these requirements which I have provided and still seller support keep going round in circles asking for the same things they already have asked for.
Has anyone else experienced this and how did you get past it ? I am desperate to get my product listed and to begin selling and start a PPC campgain to get this selling but cannot even get it listed due to this issue. The only option I can see if seller support cannot solve this is to just bite the bullet and buy a GS1 barcode for my product and the variations costing £££. I have been told by other sellers this is called GTIN Enforcement and usually needs Amazon to approve the brand for listing and approve a GTIN Exemption but no one at seller support seems to understand my issue or what I am asking and no one is taking any steps to actually look into the issue and see why I cannot get a GTIN Exemption when I meet all requirements
Many Thanks.

Why do you want to create your listing with a GTIN exemption? You will deeply regret this. That leaves all doors open to all kind of hijackers. If your listing is just a bit successfull, in 2-3 months you will have other sellers on YOUR listing selling counterfeits. OR even change your brand and chase you from YOUR listing. All this happens because you didn't buy a UPC from GS1.

Hi there @Seller_hFFfLbQHQKNIP,
I'm sorry you are having issues with applying for a GTIN Exemption. Can you please reply with your most recent Seller Support Case on this issue so I can review and see what options I can offer? Thank you for your understanding.
