Neither Amazon nor GS1 recognize our (new) ISBN
We are a publisher with dozens of books selling at Amazon and, so far, no problems with registering the product.
A new book is in print, with its ISBN, given by the due national agency. Having encountered error 8572, as Amazon and GS1 are unable to verify the ISBN (understandably, as the book is new, due, about, to be released) we have referred to the support service that indicates they are unable to overcome the issue, as long as GS1 will be unable to recognize it. Having contacted GS1 they say they can sell another ISBN (this is not possible, as the book already has its ISBN, and is in print) and they are unable to recognize the ISBN we already got. This is a Catch 22 situation!
We already have submitted to Amazon an exemption request. Any other way to handle with this situation?

Hi there @Seller_NgQ4r24b4aWbL,
In general Amazon requires GTINs to be in the GS1 database. As you don't have a GS1 registered one you will need to get that exemption. If you are having difficulties getting the exemption please provide the Case ID and I will see what options exist. Thank you for your understanding.
